An e-stamping agreement has been signed between the Board of Revenue Sindh and the Sindh Information Technology Company at a ceremony held in Karachi today, aimed at promoting digital governance in the province.

Addressing the ceremony, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah said citizens will now be able to pay taxes, fees, and other charges through mobile phones.

He said the agreement will enable departments to enter into direct arrangements under the government to government framework, which will help speed up development projects.

The meeting also decided to establish a provincial data centre to ensure the safety of sensitive data.

The Chief Minister said the e stamping system will eliminate fake stamp papers and help citizens avoid long queues at government offices.
