Lucky Motor Corporation (LMC) has signed an exclusive strategic partnership with Guangzhou Automobile Group, marking the official entry of one of China’s largest and most advanced automobile manufacturers into the Pakistani market.
Partnership will cover the rollout of the Chinese group’s new energy vehicle brands Aion and Hyptec in Pakistan. The commercial launch plan, product lineup, and dealership network are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
GAC, a Fortune 500 company and one of China’s biggest car manufacturers, has built a strong presence in electric vehicles, battery technology, and advanced mobility solutions. Its EV brands Aion and Hyptec are among China’s leading new energy vehicle names and have consistently ranked among the country’s top selling NEV brands.
The partnership is expected to significantly expand Pakistan’s electric and hybrid vehicle landscape, bringing globally competitive EV technology, battery innovation, and sustainable mobility solutions to local consumers.
Lucky Motor said the collaboration also supports localization, employment generation, technology transfer, and long term industrial development, while strengthening its position as a diversified automotive player in Pakistan.
The move comes as Chinese automakers continue to expand globally, and GAC’s entry could reshape competition in Pakistan’s emerging EV segment by introducing advanced battery technology and competitively priced new energy vehicles.
