PM directs all stakeholders to pursue initiatives of Special Investment Facilitation Council

Prime Minister has directed all stakeholders to pursue Special Investment Facilitation Council’s initiatives through collaborative approach to reap dividend in short to medium terms.
He passed these directives while chairing the 7th meeting of Apex Committee of the SIFC in Islamabad today.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir reassured undaunted resolve of Pakistan Army in various domains for sustainable recovery of the economy.
Moreover, Special Investment Facilitation Council directed the authorities concerned to make a comprehensive strategy to address oil and gas issues.
The ministries presented gave plans to further improve the ecosystem for realizing the envisaged investments.
The Committee appreciated the enhancing level of engagements with friendly countries and outreach strategy to proactively engage investor’s community.
It reviewed progress on various measures undertaken to improve investment climate and approved policy level interventions to further improve investors’ confidence.
The Committee also reviewed and appreciated the progress on privatization of State-Owned-Enterprises and directed to keep the process at fast pace.
Pakistan needs tangible and long-term economic policy. I hope with the endeavors like SIFC, we are moving towards that.
