Increase in remittances reflects confidence of overseas Pakistanis

There has been a significant increase in Pakistan’s remittances, reflecting the confidence of overseas Pakistanis in the government.

According to the Finance Minister’s Advisor, Khurram Schehzad, remittances reached 3.8 billion dollars in March this year which is seventeen percent higher compared to February.

During the first nine months of current fiscal year, total remittances amounted to 30.3 billion dollars.

The Finance Minister’s advisor said remittances in the current fiscal year are expected to exceed forty-one billion dollars.

He noted that overseas Pakistanis continue to play a key role in the country’s economic growth and financial stability.

Khurram Schehzad said despite current global situation, remittance inflows remain stable, with further growth expected in the future.
