Tourism generates $1.3 billion in forex in 2023

Pakistan witnessed an impressive 115% increase in foreign tourism in 2023, leading to a substantial $1.3 billion in foreign exchange revenue, announced Caretaker Minister of State for Tourism, Wasi Shah. According to the ‘World Tourism Barometer’ by the UN World Tourism Organisation, the country achieved a remarkable 92% recovery to pre-pandemic levels last year.
